We develop new, innovative solutions…
Together with our partner, the multi-generational Carinthian company WEISSENSEER Holz Systembau GmbH, we plan and build residential houses and terraced/single-family homes throughout Austria—with a focus on Vienna and its surroundings—in timber construction as low-energy houses. A sustainable investment in a healthy living environment.
Sustainability also means turning the old into the new—by renovating a building to bring worn-out structures back to new life.
Kingsfield & Lambert not only offers housing solutions
We also enable corporate and private clients to economically utilize solar energy via photovoltaic systems installed on their buildings, homes, or industrial halls—resulting in energy cost savings.
Another aspect of sustainability is minimizing electricity consumption by up to 80% through conversion to LED.
Finally, we can provide solutions for holiday properties. In one of Europe’s most beautiful regions, the Peloponnese, we build modern yet regionally compatible stone houses.
Kingsfield & Lambert can always offer you a perfectly tailored solution at an affordable price.
About our Partner Company WEISSENSEER
Weissenseer offers two wall construction types to choose from. Both are Passivhaus-capable and already meet the high standards of 2021. All walls include a ventilated cavity, offering optimal insulation performance in winter and ideal heat protection in summer due to circulating air.
Timber houses have seen a boom in recent years and are increasingly popular—not just for their natural living atmosphere but also for their outstanding eco-balance. Wood is both modern and rooted in tradition, offering excellent resource conservation. Though timber homes have been built for centuries, processing, technology, and aesthetics continue to evolve. Sustainability, resource conservation, and energy efficiency have become ever more important. The special quality of timber houses: the building material is universally applicable—from single-family homes to extravagant trend-setting living sculptures or even high-rise buildings. They are particularly suitable for eco-conscious homeowners wishing to live in a healthy indoor climate.
As mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner aptly put it in an interview:
“A thousand years ago, people in the Alps built with local resources. Farmers burned their own lime, used clay and stones from the immediate surroundings. Everything else was made of wood. And these houses lasted five, six, eight hundred years. That is the best way of building.”
A major advantage of timber houses is the opportunity to use an ecologically justifiable building material—since local wood is often used, transport distances are very short. Intensive research into innovative manufacturing solutions in connection with wood as a building material was the key to a continuous, sustainable concept that is attracting worldwide attention. Moisture in masonry—which can be problematic—is not an issue in wood homes, as they are built in dry construction, ensuring a healthy and comfortable living climate from the start.
Timber houses offer another benefit: the wall thickness of a timber-frame wall is significantly less than that of a solid masonry wall, enabling a usable area gain of 8–10%. At the same time, a timber house built to modern standards provides excellent sound and thermal insulation, and architectural style is freely selectable.
